St. Luke Catholic School is blessed with an active and dedicated Parent-Teacher Club. Their volunteer work is truly a ministry. PTC members serve our school with generous hearts and uplift our community with their time and talents. During the pandemic, they have changed course to plan safe ways to celebrate holidays and special occasions and meet the critical needs of our school.

St. Luke PTC Board Member Responsibilities & Expectations
A board member of the St. Luke PTC Board is nominated to hold this position based on demonstrated involvement, support and commitment to St. Luke Catholic School. In accepting the nomination, an individual agrees to fulfill the requirements and meet the responsibilities associated with board membership. These include, as outlined in the St. Luke PTC Board bylaws, but are not limited to:
Open Positions:
Historian - Keeps an organized database of PTC events, fundraisers, social media photos, documents and other key records to share with future St. Luke PTC Boards.
Fundraising – identifying a need and/or want of the overall wellbeing of the school. The committee runs 2 major fundraisers a year. The Catholic Life Raffle Sweepstakes and the Royal Fiesta Court. Monies raised between these 2 fundraisers do towards the identified purpose. Both the Blacktop renovation and the upcoming library renovation are supported by the fundraisers.
Used Uniform Sales – This committee is responsible for holding at least 2 used uniform sales a year. Collection and sorting of uniforms needs to be done on a regular basis to maintain organization.
PTC Lunch Coordinator – responsible for coordinating monthly PTC Lunches. The person in the roll will, schedule lunch dates for the year, set up online ordering site, serve as the primary contact for all correspondence regarding PTC lunch, purchase any additional supplies needed using the school’s designated account, and present to oversee and help during lunch events.
Board Member - Attend St. Luke PTC Board meetings as scheduled and when special meetings are called. Demonstrate a willingness to reach consensus and support board decisions. Serve actively on assigned committee(s) to include attending committee meetings and committee functions, to include preparing for meetings, asking questions, and taking responsibility and following through on a given assignment. Actively participate in St. Luke PTC Board functions, activities and programs. Participate in setting short- and long-term goals for the St. Luke PTC Board. Be an ambassador of St. Luke Catholic School in both business and social settings.

PTC funds faculty Christmas bonuses, student Christmas gifts (in lieu of party this year), Chromebooks, water fountains, disinfecting misters, picnic tables, bereavement donations, Kinder/Pre-K Garden, Fr. Barlow Sports Complex
Welcome Committee - provides a rebel shirt and a yard sign for new families
School Support Committee- organizes and funds Catholic Schools Week events, teacher appreciation luncheons, teacher Christmas and end-of-year party, school pictures, health screening, 8th and Kinder graduations, 8th grade scholarships, 6th and 7th grade retreats, ice cream social
Hospitality Committee- organizes First Day of School refreshments, Trunk-or-Treat Drive Through, Spirit Nights, Grandparents Day events, Christmas Tree Lighting, Father/Daughter Dance, Mother/Son Liturgy and Lunch, Muffins for Mom, Donuts for Dad, Civvies Days, Drive-in Movie
Fundraising Committee- organizes Catholic Life Raffle Sweepstakes, Royal Fiesta Court
Communications Committee- PTC Facebook page updates and other PTC Communications
Room Parent Organization/Support
Marchandise Committee- Runs St. Luke boutique, Spirit Shirts, Fiesta Metals
Used Uniform Sales- collects and sells used uniforms
Organizes Denim & Diamonds Casino Night, St. Luke Gala, Fall Fest participant and monthly PTC Lunch
