We have decided to add an extra layer of protection and have our students wear masks at recess and PE, since the weather is cooling. We will continue to allow students to take mask breaks, as needed. Thank you for your support, as we continue to provide the safest environment for our students.

THE DOMESTIC CHURCH
The Domestic Church September, in the Catholic Liturgical Calendar, honors Our Lady of Sorrows. The Blessed Mother experienced many sorrows throughout her life, and she too experienced times of uncertainty and trial. But it is her total trust in God that made Mary a model for us all. Parents, we encourage you this month to entrust your children to the Blessed Mother. You can do this by continuing a long held Catholic tradition of consecrating your child to the Blessed Virgin Mary. You can find the prayer of Consecration by clicking on the link below. May the Holy Spirit bring you peace and comfort knowing that your children will be under the mantle of Jesus’ Holy Mother.
Counselor's Corner Greetings Rebel Families! I hope that you are all doing well and enjoying this last bit of summer weather! Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of San Antonio observe Solidarity Day with a message of hope to show that we are united against bullying and committed to kindness, compassion, caring and respect. Starting in the month of October, a large focus will be on bullying prevention. Students will learn how to recognize, report, and refuse bullying. On Solidarity Day (October 5) students will be allowed to wear an orange t-shirt with uniform bottoms to show their support for respect, kindness, and inclusion. Students will also participate in engaging in activities to promote the positive message of Solidarity Day! Peace, The Rebel Counseling Team CIVVIES DAY – FRI., SEPT. 24
Civvies Days are co-hosted each month by the Beta Club and PTC with a cost of $5.00 per student. Participation is optional. Monies collected will be split with half of the proceeds going to PTC and the other half going to a charity selected by the Beta Club. ALL students are invited to participate. Join us in raising funds to build two Buddy Benches for St. Luke play areas. Buddy Benches create a space for students who are feeling sad or isolated to sit and rest. Once a student is spotted on the Buddy Bench, kind and caring classmates will come lend their friend a helping hand.
By registering for Hope for the Future’s Run with A Mission 5K, you will help make two Buddy Benches possible. Your $15 registration fee ALL comes back to St. Luke to help buy the supplies we need to build the Buddy Benches. Please help us support this wonderful cause and have some fun doing it.
Please be on the alert for emails that appear to come from Fr. Eric, Mrs. Buhrman, Mrs. Liz Gonzalez or any other St. Luke staff member. We will never ask for favors, money, gift cards, etc. via email. Do not click on links, apps, enter your cell phone number, credit card info or send money. Thank you.
