Dear St. Luke Community, As this pandemic has shifted from months to years, our way of life has shifted in so many ways. Being elbow deep in all things Covid, it is impossible to remain unchanged and unaffected. I have found that the past few years have opened my eyes to what looking through a global lens means. I am forever changed in the fact that we are all enduring together through these challenges, we are all feeling affected by them, and we are all having similar experiences and challenges. We truly are all in this together. Focusing on the us, instead of the me, has really caused a deep change in me. My empathy for others has grown exponentially, and my scope of reality has broadened to many. I am blessed to be surrounded by so much love and support at St. Luke. I feel compelled to reach out to you, and to let you know that you, too, have the love and support of our community. I hope if you are feeling despair, or alone, you will reach out. You are not alone, your feelings are valid, and there is always hope. Regardless of any situation, we are a family committed to the well-being of all in our community. Christ endured much alone, so we could be together united in love. Please feel free to reach out to me if you need some support.
Last week, we consecrated and blessed our children. This week, we offer a prayer service that you can do at home to bless and consecrate our homes. In the next few weeks, we will be blessing our classrooms as well.
Many thanks to all lent a helping hand during our library renovation! Our heartfelt gratitude to all who helped with moving the books and shelves out during the summer, everyone who participated in a PTC fundraiser, the design team, project coordinators, all who helped catalog the library books (over 16,000!) and all who assisted with moving everything back in! What a great community effort!
